Trained in classical and contemporary dance at the conservatoire de La Rochelle, Sophie Bocquet pursues her training with Karin Waehner, Pierre Doussaint, Jacques Patarozzi, Dominique Dujinski, Jean Gaudin.
Performing in different dance companies among which CFB 451, Cécile Borne, she currently works with the choreographer Eléonore Didier.
Important encounters with the following stage directors: Bruno Lajara, Guillaume Gatteau, Frédéric Maragnani, Frédéric Fisbach, have allowed her contact with comtemporary writings the likes of Noëlle Renaude, Philippe Minyana, Roland Fichet, Christophe Martin.
In 2008 she launches her own company, the SB Company in order to support her personal projects and as an exchange platform with other artists.
Linking dance and theatre is at the core of her written work.
In 1996 she obtains the DE (State diploma in contemporary dance).
She regularly teaches adolescents and adults: notably, in a home for adolescents in difficulty.
For the past three years she has collaborated with the Lycée E. Herriot at Ste Savine (Troyes).
She works with actors at: théâtre de folle Pensée, St Brieux, cours Florent, Paris. (2002).
Since 2006 she gives classes in communication at the Lycée Ingénieur CESI à Bagneux, where she works on the influence of the body in relational modes.
Workshops are offered to accompany the piece: Moi aussi or Les petites comédies dansées
(Me too or Short dances comedies), givinga space to the public for meeting, exchange, reflection and creativity.
The workshops explore more specifically the way in which a person can invest their personality and develop their own techniques in dance and theatre.
