In 2008, Sophie Bocquet started her own company called Association Pied de Biche. This company aims at contemporary creation, from the realisation of shows to artistic research and raising awareness actions.
Her first piece, “GOLDEN GIRL”, was played at the Avignon Festival, at the Vanves Theatre during Artdanthé festival and at other festivals in France.
During her residency in Paris at Micadanses and Point Ephémère, she created her second piece called “SLIM”. She will present this piece in March 2011 at the Espaces Pluriels theatre in Pau (France).
Sophie Bocquet currently works on a new creation: “LILY”.
She receives support from Micadanses ( Paris), and from Espaces Pluriels ( Pau).
These projects take place in different spaces where adaptation to the location is part of a desire to reach out to many types of audiences.
“For the time being, the idea of the character in my work allows me to interrogate Humanity in my own way.
On the one hand, I can find my own intimacy based on the sensitive observation of the other.

Over the years, either in relation to her own creations or independently, Sophie Bocquet has been carrying out educational activity for dancers, amateurs or professional actors.
Through these actions, she intends to help raise awareness of various audiences to movement and encourage a “sensitive” understanding of performances.
Inviting the other to dance, improvise and compose, allows the development of encounters around the pleasure of movement and the pleasure of game.
Workshops are offered to accompany the piece called « Me too or Short dances comedies », giving to the public a space for meeting, exchange, reflection and creativity.
The workshops explore more specifically the way in which a person can invest their personality and develop their own techniques in dance and theatre.

Sophie Bocquet

Trained in classical and contemporary dance at the conservatoire de La Rochelle, Sophie Bocquet pursues her training with Karin Waehner, Pierre Doussaint, Jacques Patarozzi, Dominique Dujinski, Jean Gaudin.
She has performed in different companies, among which CFB 451, Cécile Borne and currently works with the choreographer Eléonore Didier.
Important encounters with stage directors Bruno Lajara, Guillaume Gatteau, Frédéric Maragnani, Frédéric Fisbach, have allowed her contact with contemporary writings: Noëlle Renaude, Philippe Minyana, Roland Fichet, Christophe Martin.
In 2008, she started her own Company called Association Pied de Biche.
Linking dance and theatre is at the core of her written work.
In 1996 she obtains the DE (State diploma in contemporary dance).
She regularly teaches adolescents and adults: notably, in a home for adolescents in difficulty. For the past five years she has collaborated with the Lycée E. Herriot at Ste Savine (Troyes). She works with actors at: théâtre de folle Pensée, St Brieux, cours Florent, Paris. (2002).
Since 2006 she gives classes in communication at the Lycée Ingénieur CESI à Bagneux, where she works on the influence of the body in relational modes.

Christophe Demarthe

Christophe Demarthe is one of the founding members and singer of the French group Clair Obscur which was one of the first groups in the 80s in France which made links between music, visual arts, dance and theatre. Christophe Demarthe has been working for many years at the frontier of sound and visual arts. He has created sound architectures for theatre, dance, visual arts... He has also composed music for the radio, the television and the cinema.
In 2004 he created Cocoon, a global project mixing music, video and performance.
